The Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony Session will take place at the Constantza Conference Center, Culture Hall, on Sunday, June 15, 2008, 15.00-17.00, and will focus on: “Regional Energy Policy. Working Together. Next Steps”.

Romania's Energy Day

This major event will be organized on Tuesday, June 17th, 2006, 8.30-12.30, in the Conference Center Neptun, Hall Europe, and focuses on ”The Future of the Cogeneration in Romania”.

Keynote Addresses

The purpose of the Keynote Addresses is to introduce the main areas for discussion about “Policies and actions to promote energy for sustainability”, giving Forum participants an overall perspective of the thematic content and issues of the Discussion Sessions and the whole Forum. Keynote Addresses will set the scene for the Forum sessions and must provide a major attraction for delegates.

Ministerial Forum

The purpose of the Ministerial Forum is to introduce the main areas for discussion about “Policies and actions to promote energy for sustainability”, giving Forum participants an overall perspective of the thematic content and issues of the Discussion Sessions and the whole Forum. Keynote Addresses will set the scene for the Forum sessions and must provide a major attraction for delegates.

MF: The Role of Governments and International Organisations in Promoting Energy Security

Round Tables Forum

Leading figures in the energy industry and related fields will discuss key issues confronting the energy industry and outline their views on possible approaches in these issues. The delegates will have the opportunity to present their views in the following Round Tables Forum:

RT F1: Challenges and opportunities of oil and gas in Romania
RT F2: Nuclear Energy - Inevitable or Irrelevant?
RT F3: ITC Unitary Solutions on the Energy Market in the 21st Century
RT F4: Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development in Central and Eastern Europe

WEC Meetings

The Organizing Committee selected for Romanian energy participants the following most important and updated themes of international WEC Committees:

WEC M1: European Climate Change Policy beyond 2012
WEC M2: Cleaner Fossil Fuels Systems - CFFS
WEC M3: Roadmaps Towards a Competitive European Energy Market

Closing Ceremony

On the final of the Forum, the key findings of the Forum will be discussed and possible courses of action for the energy industry identified. Conclusions and recommendations will be presented to the Forum.
